Does my company have to report under the NSRF if we are not listed?
Only non-listed companies with annual revenue of RM2 billion and above fall under the NSRF, from 2027. Most SMEs are not directly in scope, but their customers are. Listed companies and multinationals need Scope 3 and supplier data, so the requests reach their suppliers first.
What goes into a minimum ESG data pack?
A company profile and reporting boundary, the policies you actually have, energy, emissions, water and waste figures, workforce and safety information, ethics and governance information, and a basic Scope 1 and Scope 2 estimate, each tied to a source record and a named data owner.
Is the ESG training for SMEs HRD Corp claimable?
Yes. It runs as one full day of 7 training hours, delivered by an HRD Corp Accredited Trainer, and is claimable for eligible Malaysian employers subject to the applicable claim requirements and your available levy.
