AI for GRC Professionals
A hands-on day for internal audit, risk and ESG teams, built on a five-stage ladder: ask AI, think with it, teach it, delegate to it, automate with it. Every rung is practised on GRC work: standards and reports, risk registers, evidence packs, findings and disclosures. Between delegating and automating sits the stage GRC people are trained for and most teams skip: putting their own AI use under control. Co-delivered with Ong Su Faye, who maps the stages onto real ESG and internal audit engagements. Each participant leaves with one skill saved and one recurring task specified.

Who this is for
Internal auditors, risk and compliance officers, and ESG and sustainability teams. Mixed rooms: some already use ChatGPT or Claude on personal accounts, some have not started. Exercises run at two levels so both move forward. Teams that handle client confidential or price-sensitive information and need a shared view on where AI fits.
What your team will build
- Ask the right tool the right question, with role, output and audience set, and answers traced to the source page
- Think with AI as a sparring partner: blind spots and risky assumptions in an audit programme, risk register or materiality list, and work removed before anyone automates it
- Teach AI the firm's way of drafting a finding, a disclosure narrative or a management response, saved as a reusable skill that works in a fresh chat
- Delegate a multi-document evidence pack and verify it like a senior: figures recalculated, every claim evidenced, inputs unchanged, guesses labelled
- Control their own AI use: a review checklist on audit evidence principles, a data rule for which tool gets what, and the difference between an instruction and an access control
- Automate one recurring task on a schedule with read-only connections, pass conditions written first and a human review each run
